Island Hopping

Mid-Term school holidays - a long weekend to Ayrshire to visit my mother-in-law, and a day trip to largs, which wouldn't be complete without sampling some Nardinis ice-cream...

...and taking a ferry trip to the nearby island of Cumbrae

The sunshine and homemade shortbread were an unexpected bonus. How great it is to get away from it all for a long weekend. I have returned home rested and invigorated, ready to take on the rest of February!

  1. Hi Elaine,

I've been loving your blog for a while! The (particularly) crazy part of my family live in Ayr and we always squeeze in a little trip to largs when in the area - lovely to see some familiar images!
    Thanks for sharing,

  3. Largs yipee, I love Nardinis the ice creams are to die for and the fish and chips aren't bad either. Lucky for me I only live 6 miles away.
